paying 7000$ for 3ds max is for losers.....
no, i dont pirate, my high school has an imaging lab with about 20 computers with 3ds max on them. there are courses there that i am teaching next year for it. we are the only public high school in the country with that sort of computer lab.

I didin't connect the vertexs from the coat arms to the body part of the coat due to lack of vertexs and edges in the main body. I desided not to go with a normal map because I don't know how to make one and also, I wanted to see what wrinkled clothes in polygons would look like.
a simple edge bevel could fix that, i tdont know maya so it might be named bevel, chamfer or fillet.David wrote:Your trench coat guy looks ok. o, if anyone wants to check out a free version of 3ds max, and yes this is compltetely legal. the only downfall is there is no render feature andlimited materials. but the modelling is full. www.gmaxsupport.com
