I'm curious though if there are a faster way of downloading the alpha than from their own site? 30-40kb takes time, and I want to see this baby in action!

Actually I don't know. I always use mirrored downloading, transfers with 10mb/s. But the last alpha I downloaded was no57, so it might have slowed down a bit.
And also, probably the servers are overloaded, because everyone who just got OG pre-order access is downloading the alpha right now.

Oh, and all people from the NS forums joining here: be sure to check out the obligatory introduction thread. Otherwise I can't keep track of all the people at two places (maybe even using different names) ^^

This is great. I had been looking at Natural Selection II, and almost pre-ordered. Glad I didn't though, because now I get it for free! Thanks a lot, guys. This made the fillings I got today seem less bad.
