Phoenix Engine 6-17-05 Skybox, Cube maps, Basic shaders

Post by David » Sat Jun 18, 2005 1:42 am

I am back from my trip and started working on the Phoenix engine again! Today I added skyboxes and cube map reflections. I am also learning to use vertex shaders.

It's running at 228 fps so I wouldn't be suprised if he is developing it on Windows XP.

what does that have to do with XP? if anything, macosx running on a G5 would run faster. plus, it's not that much of a demanding demo.

Well I thought it was on a computer running windows XP. You know, like a computer with a AMD 64 bit or a P4?

I am using my Windows system for development, though I am going to maintain Mac compatibility.

My relevant Windows specs are:

AMD64 3500+
1 GB DDRAM
GeForce 6800 GT

Ahahahah. PCs are so much faster than Macs, it's not even a competition at this point. You do realize that even Apple itself has abandoned the underperforming PPC in favor of Intel, right?

One word: Snark (I'm not refering to "imaginary animal").
Intel IS faster. I can see that you are on of those who think
"My computer is better than your computer because it
has a bigger amount of MHZ"
Random Swedish words: Bil, badboll, lyftkran, datorspel, uppslagsverk och tangentbord.

It's nice to have a computer like that. That's the PC I am thinking of getting.
