Mouse jump
Mouse jump
Here's something new for you guys to try. There is a little known feature in Lugaru called "mouse jump". To enable it, go to the config and switch Mouse Jump from 0 to 1. Debug mode needs to be enabled too.
Now when you're in the game, try quickly flicking the mouse upwards and jump at the same time. You should jump higher depending on how quickly you moved the mouse, with no limit to the height. With some practice, you should be able to very accurately choose how high you jump. You will be able to bound around the map with excellent precision. Try not to jump too high, because you might not be able to land!

It's working, I can confirm that.
I do it that way: Exactly in the moment I press space to jump, I move the mouse up and down.
For some reason, I jump very high (and die sometimes) when I'm running.
I'd still like to know what the "Floating jump" is and what the chat key is for. Was multiplayer mode initially planned? RELEASE THE BETA MULTI MOD!

Floating jump is where you can fly around like in the map mode.rudel_ic wrote:It's working, I can confirm that.

There was multiplayer at one point.
Re: Mouse jump
My geuss is you mssed the "debug mode needs to be enable too," part of his sentence. If that isnt the issue I will immedialey cease to be of any use for you.Jeff wrote:To enable it, go to the console and switch Mouse Jump from 0 to 1. Debug mode needs to be enabled too.
o damn, i didnt even notice that. Yeah Jeff fails at life and should be shot in the heart for that error.
To clarify how to enable Mouse Jump:
Open the config file (...\Lugaru\Data\)
change the number following "Mouse Jump" from 0 to 1
change the number following "Debug" from 0 to 1
Enjoy Lugaru with Mouse Jump and the other features of Debug mode
Also make sure to change Debug mode off (0) if you plan on having your times/scores for the challenges recorded.

Whoa
When I read this topic, I thought that with this feature maybe you could jump
about normal jump height +50%!
But first time I did this I flew to what felt like where you find yourself when having mapmode on and holding down the spacebar for 5 seconds!
I moved the mouse up as fast as I could.
Fun to play around with
