Anyone listening to it, skip to the last 12 minutes. That's where it actually gets going. The first half is riddled with technical problems.
The first third of the interview is stuff that a lot of you have probably already heard (unless I'm forgetting something) and is mainly based on Lugaru 1, with a bit from David where he tells a bit about his history. The last eight minutes or so are what I found to be the really interesting bit.

No. You had a staff with which you could play music notes. Certain sequences of notes did magical tricks. You had to learn sequences to be able to use them. You learned sequences by triggering them in your environment. That's about it.
I love Loom. It's got a great atmosphere, and the main character experiences quite some interesting things. I'm not too convinced of the notes thingie, though. You could compare it to Dance Dance Revolution or similar games, except that you had to re-use certain sequences over and over again. The basic idea is repeating sequences, that's what I mean.

Yup yup yup, I thought it was interesting. It was only a third of the length compared to the inside mac game one (which had alot of funny man giggles, jokes, and amazement everytime David would say something! ). So she made him cover roughly the same topics.
However, since it's newer we learn a whole bunch of new things!
-meaning of the pheonix engine, it's bug-less
-Everything in the OS' UI, will work for pheonix's
-upcoming game, non-combat based spellcaster w00t
-Release date: Summer 2007!
-system requirements are on par with next-gen and can also be set very minimal
-Jeff pronounces Lugaru as luguru!
-open game for sequel -oblivion\fallout personality
-Sectaurs and Ninjas could work for Blizzard! 4 man dedicated team!
-always give David a direct question not, "anything you want to add?"
-Lugaru is an island! with, anthropomorphic rabbits
*note: link doesn't relate to word

huh, is that supposed to be phrased as a question or not... you knew it was an island based on the map? Or you didn't know because of the map?zip wrote:We knew Lugaru was an island though? Look at the campaign map :p
(that tongue smiley face confuses the heck out of me.)
Ahh well, I thought the title was just a fancy word, I guess not.
lol, but if you did know why didn't you update the wiki? You wrote it you silly turtle!the wiki wrote: The un-named island Turner and his fellows inhabit displays a wide variety of climates, despite its small size. Peaceful rabbits dwell in the southern areas, forest and grassland. Further north in the colder climates the population of wolves increases (and of course the rabbits decrease). Raiders seem to prefer the desert areas, but obviously venture into other climates for their unique line of work.

It did use the SCUMM engine! Or were you saying "no" to something else that was said?rudel_ic wrote:No. You had a staff with which you could play music notes.
