I started on the UI for the in-game editor; so far it supports draggable floating or set windows with static text and buttons (working!).

Correct me if I'm wrong but is that Turner? If it is I did not expect him to look that good in the engine. Though the rabbit model lacks foliage.
The editor looks nice, I can't wait to see more screenshots of the editor. Like wireframe, option icons, etc.. etc...

Very nice, grass on the terrain and a bump-mapped(apprently?) model of turner.. he seems to have gained some muscle
Can't wait to see what he looks like with fur.
Any chance we can get a shot that shows the feet in the grass?

theres NO WAY any decent computer could handle interactive foliage such as the grass in this engine.

I used the term foliage meaning fur. Besides ridestowe, David will probaly put a option in lugaru 2 that lets you turn off fur from the character models and foliage from the landscape.

For sure. David has an awesome cloth engine planned and has actually made a sweet tech demo for it. Lugaru 2 should have the most realistic clothes of any game on the market.

So you are making a tech demo after all. So will this cloth engine surpass the cloth physics in SSX at the same time fully creating cloth physics as good as cloth physics/simlulation such as toy story, shrek, and final fantasy 7 advent children?

It would be awsome if your clothes would rip as you got damaged.

haha, who knows?
protection?
anyways, it looks nice.
Tech demos are nice.
My g4 1.42ghz 512mb ram mac has some... lags at highest quality settings at 1280x1024 in Lugaru 1 (especially the motion blur), so I wonder how Lugaru 2 will work with all the nice foliage and extra polygons and stuff
(Lugaru 1 works very well at 1024x768)
Oh, well... I got a 2.8ghz celeron (pooh edition (same as the rest)) with 512mb ram aswell.. better 3d card too... will probably work better there..
*wants tech demos and... maybe a public alpha or beta? or beta membership? that would rule*
